The project reimagines a typical multi-bedroom apartment as a private exhibition space for a collector whose interests are closely rooted in Vietnamese art.
Its existing spatial limitations—from modest ceiling heights to fixed building services—fall outside the conventional expectations of a gallery. Yet these apparent shortcomings became the project's greatest potential. Rather than erasing the apartment's domestic character, the design preserves and reinterprets it, allowing the architecture to dissolve into the atmosphere of the collection. The resulting space offers an intimate mode of viewing, where art is experienced not within the neutrality of the white cube, but within an environment that reflects the everyday condition from which much of the collection itself emerges...
